অসম লোক সেৱা আয়োগ (এপিএছচি) হৈছে অসম চৰকাৰৰ এক মুখ্য আয়োগ আৰু ভাৰত চৰকাৰৰ এটা সংস্থা, চৰকাৰৰ বিভিন্ন বিভাগত নিযুক্তি পৰীক্ষা, কৰ্মচাৰী, বিষয়া নিয়োগৰ প্ৰক্ৰিয়া আয়োজন কৰাৰ বাবে। অসম লোক সেৱা আয়োগ, এপিএছচি ১ এপ্ৰিল, ১৯৩৭ তাৰিখে ভাৰত চৰকাৰ আইন, ১৯৩৫-ৰ ব্যৱস্থা অনুসৰি গঠন কৰা হৈছিল। এ.পি.এছ.চি. মূখ্য কাযার্লয় অসমৰ গুৱাহাটীৰ খানাপাৰাৰ জৱাহৰ নগৰত আছে। আৱেদনকাৰীসকলৰ গুণাগুণ আৰু সংৰক্ষণৰ নিয়ম অনুসৰি ভাৰতৰ অসম ৰাজ্যত অসামৰিক সেৱাৰ চাকৰিৰ বাবে আবেদনকাৰী বাছনি কৰা।
The ASSAM PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (APSC) is a premier commission of the government of Assam and an Indian government agency, for organizing recruitment exams, procedures for recruiting employees, officers to various department of the government. Assam Public Service Commission, APSC was formed on 1st April, 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Government of India Act, 1935. APSC headquater is at Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara in Guwahati, Assam. To select applicants for civil service jobs in the Indian state of Assam according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation.
Now, Anupam Roy a retired civil servant is the current Chairman of Assam Public Service Commission APSC.
Functions of the Assam Public Service Commission, APSC:
Following functions have been entrusted to Assam Public Service Commission under Article 320 of the Constitution of India. The prime duties and functions of the commission are:
1. To conduct examinations for the appointment to the services of the state.
Ø The matters relating to the methods of direct recruitment of the candidates to various Civil Services of the State Government;
Ø The principles to be followed in making appointments to civil services and posts and in making promotions and transfers from one service to another.
Ø All the disciplinary matters affecting the Government servants within the purview of the commission.
Ø The matters relating to protection and fixation of pay, in respect of government servants, who were initially appointed as per recommendation of the commission.
Ø All matters relating to framing of recruitment rules, draft service rules of different departments of the Government.
The Assam Public Service Commission shall hold Combined Competitive Examination in two stages-Preliminary Examination and Main Examination in accordance with rules and procedures.

1. The Assam Civil Service (ACS) (Jr. Grade)
2. The Assam Land and Revenue Service (Jr. Grade)
3. The Assam Police Service (APS) (Jr. Grade)
5. Superintendent of Taxes
6. Superintendent of Excise
7. Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies
8. District Transport Officer
12. Senior Inspector/ Auditor of Co-operative Society
13. Assistant Employment Officer
14. Block Development Officer (BDO)
15. Extension Officer (Credit)
17. Child Development Project Officer (CDPO)
18 Inspector of legal Metrology
19. Assistant Manager of Industries
20. Any other Services and posts which the Government may include in consultation with the Commission.
Examination under Assam Public Service Commission, APSC:
The following examinations are conducted by Assam Public Service Commission (APSC):
I. Combined Competitive Examination (CCE)
II. Departmental Examinations

Combined Competitive Examination (CCE):
Civil Service Examinations comprises two successive stage:
1. Preliminary (Objective type) for the section of candidates for Main Examination and
2. Main (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts.

a) PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION (Objective type)-
The Preliminary Examination shall consist of two papers:
1. Paper-1: General Studies I 200 Marks 2 Hours Duration
2. Paper-1: General Studies II 200 Marks 2 Hours Duration
Paper 1:
General Studies I shall be set in such a way that 30% to 35% of questions shall compulsorily relate to Assam.
General Studies II shall have minimum qualifying marks of 33%.

b) MAIN EXAMINATIO (WRITTEN AND INTERVIEW)-
The Main Examination shall consist of Written Examination and an Interview test. The Written Examination shall consist of eight papers of conventional essay type/ objective type with limited words and two qualifying language papers( in the level of class X). Marks obtained in interview for Preliminary Test shall be counted for ranking.

QUALIFYING PAPERS (in the level of class X):
1. Paper A (300 Marks- 3 Hours duration)-
Any one of the language from Assamese, Bengali, Bodo. Candidates from Dima Hasao, Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts who had not studied any of these languages in school shall be exempted from appearing for qualifying language papers.
2. Paper B (300 Marks- 3 Hours duration)- English
